DesignSchool.ca: R.G.D.

The R.G.D. is your professional association. Becoming a member has many benefits, some tangible, some symbolic. Being a member of the Association means that you are among peers and mentors. As with all associations, it is what you make of it. The more you participate, the more you will benefit. I know that my membership has proven invaluable to me throughout my career.

With over 1,800 Student Members, RGD Ontario recognizes that students are the future of our profession. As a Student member, you have the opportunity to attend events at special rates, sharpen your portfolio at one-on-one reviews, enter our annual Student Awards program and enjoy a whole host of other benefits of membership.

Fees

As a student, you can become a member by completing this form. The cost is only $25 plus G.S.T. That's only $26.25 in all. You can pay by cheque, money order or credit card.

After you have completed the form, you can activate your membership by visiting this page at the Association's site.

Renewal

Your student membership runs from September to September, no matter when you signed up.

Book

Once you sign up you get a shiny membership card and the opportunity to buy "The Business of Graphic Design: A Professional's Handbook". This alone is worth the the cost of membership. This book is chalk-full of handy information on running a graphic design practice.

The book retails for about $50. You can get your hands on it for one low payment of $20. plus G.S.T. ($21.00)
